To protect against Commotio Cordis*, USA Lacrosse has implemented new rules that boys chest and shoulder pads must meet NOCSAE certification. These pads have been approved by NOCSAE. You can visually see a chest pad is approved if it has the "Meets NOCSAE Standard" on it.
All boys players in 8U programs and higher must wear the NOCSAE approved chest pads for all programs in 2022 and forward. Registrations required parents to sign off on ensuring their player had the right chest pad for the program.
Girls K-14U and Boys 8U-14U require full lacrosse gear. Click on one of the images to learn more about gear requirements.
NEW 2021-2022 AGE GUIDELINES
