GIRLS 10U ACTIVE REGISTRATIONS


8U/10U 2024 Fall Program

Program Description: Training sessions will provide outdoor field practice and instruction, outdoor wall ball sessions, an informal scrimmage and a Halloween event. 

Who can Register? Birthdate between 9/01/2014 to 08/31/2018 (typically 1st to 4th grade)

Fee: $125

DETAILS:
1) 7 weekly training sessions on Thursdays from 5:30-6:30pm at Wooddale Park (later in the season we will move to 5:00-6:00 pm based on sunlight)  -September 5th to October 24th

2) 3 weekly Wall Ball sessions on Saturday mornings from 9:00-9:45am at EHS Lower Turf Wall- 9/14,9/21,10/12

3) 1 scrimmage or additional practice at Braemar turf on 9/22 (exact time TBD)

4) Halloween Event- 10/27 at Wooddale Park (exact time TBD)

REQUIRED GEAR:

  • Girls’ lacrosse stick: Girl’s sticks are different from boys’ sticks.  Most visible difference is that girls sticks don’t have a pocket.
  • Girls’ lacrosse goggles - Must be SEI Certified.
  • Colored mouth guard

 

2024 GIRLS 10U SPRING/SUMmER LACROSSE Overview- Season Closed!

 

The Girls 10U Program is a hybrid travel team program that encourages girls of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced.

  • The Edina Girls 10U program is a spring/summer program which runs 15 weeks.
  • It is expected that girls will arrive at PRACTICES 10 minutes prior to the start of each practice and be ready to play (goggles on, sticks ready, mouth guards in) at the start of practice.
  • It is expected that the girls will arrive at games ready to warm up 30 minutes prior to game time
  • 8U and 10U play on a smaller field than older age groups

UNIFORMS

Our uniform ordering process has changed this year. Registration fees do not include uniforms. Instead, upon close of registration, an email will be sent to all registered players with link and directions for ordering uniforms directly from Squad Locker. You will pay for uniforms directly to Squad Locker and they will be sent directly to your house. 

Required Uniform Pieces ($95.90):

1 jersey $55.95

1 kilt $39.95

 

PRACTICES 


Practices will be 1 hour, 1 night per week, Wednesday evenings, starting April 17. May include some weekend practices. 

GAMES 


- 1-2 scrimmages this spring
- 6 regular season games mid-June through July  starting week of June 10 to week of July 18
- Expect 1 or 2 games per week mid-June through July.  Games are scheduled in the evenings. The game schedule will be available in late May or early June.
- Games are against other local associations, typically within the Twin Cities metro area.  There will be some moderate travel for approximately half of the games.
 

TOURNAMENTS- please add these dates to your calendar to ensure availability! 

 

  • Wayzata Tournament: 5/17-5/19
  • Prior Lake Tournament: 6/28-6/30
  • State Tournament: 7/26-7/28

TEAM FORMATION


Registration numbers will dictate how many teams are formed.  
 

COACHES


Head Coaches are paid and professional. Our head coaches have previous college playing experience and significant youth coaching experience. We enlist high school varsity players and current college plays as assistant coaches.
 

REGISTRATION FEE


10U:  $300 ***
 

***A payment plan is offered at sign up that will allow you to make 3 equal payments - at registration and in March & April.  


Registration fee includes: 

  • Spring scrimmages and summer league games
  • Certified and experienced coaching staff
  • MSLAX League fees
  • All tournament fees

FAMILY volunteer COMMITMENTS:


As the season approaches, we'll have more details around volunteer opportunities.

  • Game timer / score keeping / field set up:  We'll assign 2 parents per home game. Once you are assigned, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to find a replacement if needed.
  • Behind the scenes: May include one or more from a variety of opportunities including - but not limited to - roster preparation for tournaments, team manager (training provided), snack coordinator for tournaments, coordinator for scrimmages.
