BOYS 2020 BOX LACROSSE REGISTRATION

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:  SUNDAY, 12/22/2019

ELA is excited to announce registration for our 2020 indoor Modified Box Lacrosse Program for 8U - 14U players is now open! Once again we'll be participating in the TC Lacrosse Spring Box League

  • Practices for 10U/12U/14U teams start the week of February 4th and run through April 15th.  8U practices run February 10th through April 16th.  There are no practice sessions during Edina's Spring Break.
  • Modified Box Lacrosse is a great way for players to work on their core skills. The game is played on small fields, 5v5 plus goalies format, quick player rotations, and every player plays a midfielder role.  8U teams play 4v4 with no goalie.  (NOTE:  Modified Box Lacrosse rules mean: no cross checking, 5v5 change on the fly, no “hot” rule, and O.T. shoot-out for games tied at end of regulation play!)
  • Parent Coaches:   If you would like to volunteer as a Parent Coach on your son’s team, please contact Tom Sarbaugh at tsarbaugh@gmail.com before registering to get a discount code for your player’s registration.  Lacrosse experience is helpful, but not necessary. Training will be provided.
  • Goalies:   Dedicated goalies are needed!  Equipment is provided.  A 50% registration discount will be given – please contact Tom Sarbaugh at tsarbaugh@gmail.com if your player will register as a dedicated goalie.  Teams that do not have a dedicated goalie will need to have players rotate as goalie during games.
